Historical edition revised from the 7 September 2026 brief. Sources predate or coincide with the edition; editorial review published on 13 September 2026. The proposals below are not claims of implemented features.
1. 🚚 ILOS: secure, measure and retain capacity
An ILOS survey of over 100 large shippers found 85% of volume with contracted carriers, 8% with owned fleets and 7% with independent truckers.
Impact and trend: Partner performance affects resilience. Relationships, capacity, productivity and data belong alongside price in carrier management.
The canal announced 34 daily slots from 3 September and 32 from 15 September. The Financial Times reported a potential drop to 27 on 7 September as a worsening scenario, not the capacity already in force.
Impact and trend: Fewer slots may increase waiting, freight and lead times. Include climate alongside geopolitics and fuel in planning.
Agent opportunity: Route Risk Engine: identify Panama-exposed materials and compare feasible routes, transshipment and air by time, risk, inventory and cost. Editorial priority: very high.
The 28 August Focus survey projected year-end 2026 Selic at 13.75%, GDP growth at 1.92% and IPCA at 5.01%. These are historical market forecasts, not actual results or current estimates.
Impact and trend: High interest rates raise the bar for automation, warehouse and technology projects: savings, cash, return, working capital and avoided risk.
Agent opportunity: Macro-to-Cost-to-Serve Simulator: test hypothetical volume −3% and diesel +8%, then estimate excess capacity, network changes and financial effects. Editorial priority: high.
On 2 September, MIT presented CW-Net, translating autonomous vehicle model decisions into understandable concepts. Enterprise logistics is an editorial application proposal, not a tested outcome of this study.
Impact and trend: Recommendations should expose reasons, evidence and limits. Sindusfarma also scheduled a context engineering course for 11 November 2026.
Agent opportunity: Explainable AI Layer: show data, period, sources, estimated impact, uncertainty and plans A/B; require human approval before actions. Editorial priority: strategic.
5. 💊 GLP-1: new registrations and pharmaceutical planning
Anvisa announced five new semaglutide pens in July and two further registrations in August. The six approvals mentioned in July refer to that specific scope, not six domestic versions approved on 7 September.
Impact and trend: New products may change forecasts, capacity and traceability requirements. Verify cold-chain needs by product. The forecast that the market would double was not confirmed.
Agent opportunity: Pharma Launch & Demand Radar: approval → competition → demand → capacity → inventory → cold chain → transport → distribution. Editorial priority: very high for Pharma.
Capture external signals, combine authorized data, simulate alternatives and explain recommendations. Volume transfers should show impact, partner capacity, risks and human approval. Confidence percentages require a validated calculation method.
