The presentation connects logistics concepts to everyday decisions about flows, resources and performance.

Layout and capacity

Connecting demand, movement and available capacity helps identify bottlenecks before expanding facilities. Sizing should account for both underuse and overload.

Docks and staging

Plan receiving, loading and unloading alongside preparation by route or destination. Staging must support shipping flow, with attention to waiting time and rework.

Technology and availability

WMS, scanners, sensors and equipment support traceability and control. Preventive maintenance helps reduce interruptions and protect operational continuity.

Metrics and sustainability

Track productivity and accuracy to investigate deviations and guide improvement. Natural lighting, electric equipment and wastewater treatment are examples to evaluate in each operation's context.

Application: compare demand and capacity, observe dock queues and choose a metric to monitor improvement.

Presentation: The Future of Logistics — RNDS, Data and a Portfolio of Solutions · 15 slides

The future of logistics: data and cooperation

The material discusses how individual incentives and fragmented systems can leave a chain stable but inefficient. The proposal combines partner coordination with shared information and governance.

Incentives to cooperate

The presentation explores five mechanisms: changing incentives, performance transparency, long-term relationships, common rules and new operating models. These are lenses for analysis, not a universal explanation of logistics problems.

A “logistics RNDS”

RNDS, Brazil's health data network, inspires a conceptual proposal: standardised, auditable events following products across shippers, distribution centres, carriers and recipients.

“Logistics RNDS” is an analogy proposed in the presentation. This site does not integrate with RNDS, Meu SUS Digital or patient data.

Proposed solution portfolio

Development roadmap

The proposed roadmap starts with data and use cases, moves to operational predictions, then considers simulation and partner integration. The 0–3, 3–6, 6–12 and over-12-month horizons are planning references, subject to each operation's maturity, resources and validation.

Impact hypotheses

The presentation mentions reductions of 30% in freight costs, 25% in stockouts and 40% in returns, plus doubled decision speed. The file provides no calculations or outcome evidence supporting these figures. Treat them as business-case hypotheses, not promises or measured agent performance.

Next step: select a problem, establish a baseline and test with authorised data before expanding use.

Editorial overview of the two supplied resources. Future solutions described are not implemented site features. Current simulators use rules and do not execute operational actions.
