1. DHL: agentic AI among major logistics trends

Logistics Trend Radar 8.0 places agentic AI among its ten highest-potential-impact trends and highlights human oversight.
Proposed application: simulate ten delays and compare alternative routes or carriers. Measure decision time, OTIF protected and incremental cost; check temperature, capacity and safety before recommending.
AWS presented a method to assess skill selection separately from how well an agent follows the skill’s instructions.
Proposed application: version freight, cold-chain and inventory skills. Use expert-validated expected answers; distinguish selection, data, calculation and execution errors.
The HEMA case describes a read-only MCP assistant using Microsoft Entra ID authentication without AWS credentials on client devices.
Proposed application: offer procedures and metrics according to authorized operations, management or audit roles. Test access restrictions and expired documents before connecting operational systems.
Register five skills: freight, cold chain, CIOT, incidents and inventory, each with sources, a version and permissions.
Run 30 fictional cases with expert-reviewed expected answers. Validate current regulations before defining regulatory answers.
Record the selected skill, sources, calculations and result. Require human approval for external actions in this pilot.
Proposed pilot targets: at least 90% correct skill selection; evidence for every recommendation; no unauthorized external actions. These are test criteria, not achieved results.
