From incident to decision: traceability and AI investigation with human approval.
29 September edition, covering two publications from 28 September. Both are AWS publications about IT operations, not proven transport outcomes. Logistics applications are educational proposals, not capabilities already implemented on this website.
1. Audit trails: record decisions, not just commands
AWS published an architecture combining agent records, recommendations, events and API calls to reconstruct investigations.
Proposed application: retain sources, rule versions, options, owner, approval and outcome for freight incidents. Risk: complete records can document an incorrect conclusion; data and calculation checks remain necessary.
The Property Finder case separates read-only investigation from proposed fixes requiring human review before application.
Proposed application: examine ten fictional delays using order, shipment and incident records. Propose Plans A/B for the owner. Measure diagnosis time, errors and estimated cost; do not extrapolate IT results to OTIF or savings.
Test a fictional delay with incomplete evidence. The agent should flag the gap, request missing data and await approval, without booking transport or changing appointments.
